Just stumbled into here to get some take out. Then I saw it was number one rated here on yelp. Really interesting rolls - tasty and beautifully prepared. We'll be back often.

Love it when I find a great family owned an operated restaurant. Support local small businesses. God bless all those who do it.

Great sushi! The La Quinta roll and the Mexican roll rule: Not too heavy on the rice and delicious. Quick service. Pleasant atmosphere.

  • Kareem C.

Great little place. It's small and had one sushi chef, but has solid sushi and good roll selection. Staff was great. No complaints. Bottom line: your not going to get the best sushi you've ever had, but you'll be happy and satisfied.

My son and I have visited this restaurant twice. We have loved the food and go there each time we are in the area.I was thrilled to find sushi in the desert was fresh and tasty.

  • Delia V.

Horrible sushi, horrible service, horrible teriyaki. Want good sushi go to SAM'S SUSHI one block east of here.

  • Kimberly M.

I love Sawa. I always get quick service from coming in so often and the place is relatively uncrowded because most locals remember there used to be a subpar Asian restaurant in the same spot, but for right now it's one of the best places to get Sushi in La Quinta/Indio. They have pretty generous sushi platters for now at a good price with good quality.

This Sushi restaurant is so good !!My family love this restaurant. We are so happy to find this restaurant around here ! Sushi is so fresh , and tasty . So sad........This restaurant gone. Changing under new owner ?!

Their Chinese food's better than their Japanese. We got their Wonton soup and their Chicken Chow Mein. Both pretty good. Had their Japanese food and weren't really impressed w/ their sushi.

  • Suzanne S.

It was great when they gave large portions but now they have cut back and the rolls are much smaller which I don't feel is worth the prices they charge. Considering there are five other sushi restaurants in the La Quinta area. I give them three stars because the fish is very fresh and the service is good. But I left hungry for more.

  • Alysa H.

Finally a great sushi place that won't break the bank!tempura was super fresh, and rolls were very tasty! Definitely my new favorite.

We had an old menu from Orient Asian Cuisine, it looked good so we ordered take out. Well it wasn't. Horrible, didn't even eat it. Ordered sweet and sour shrimp, orange chicken, mongolian beef and vegetable fried rice. The spring rolls were the worst. I almost wanted to take the food back and get my money back.

  • Sarah M.

The food is good given its pricing and the sushi is very basic. When I'm hungry and craving cheap sushi, I go here but the owners have had some problems recently and it's been closed for ten days now... but i think they're gonna reopen next week so that's just a forewarning.

Well been coming here for more than 6 months and our last visit the menu had changed and we noticed some missing items and a price jump. Kinda hard to pay higher prices just cause the SBs are in season. Bummer they can't think of the regulars first!, the extra business when the SBs are here will more than make up for it! We all know how hard it is to get a table out here this time of year with the SBs here?Wife wants to find another sushi place... Oh well hope the SBs keep you in business in summer? Bummer Sawa

If there was a zero rating I would choose it. I have no idea why anyone would go to this place if there is a GREAT sushi place just a block east called SAM'S SUSHI. Sam's was very busy so I thought I would give this place a chance, BIG mistake, HUGE MISTAKE! Sam's is worth the wait. RUN AWAY from here!. This is one of those places that does not care for the details, just the bottom $$ line. Sad...very sad.

  • Amada B.

Overall it's good. I was going to give it four stars but the fortune cookies we were given were old, rancid, stale idk. They smelled so bad I had to call them and let them know to throw them away. The customer service was not the best, just one waitress. The environment was Dead and it was happy HR. But the food was good, no one died. If SAMs sushi has a long wait I will go here again

While on a trip to Palm Desert, thanks to Yelp, I found this little quiet Sushi place, it's a hole in the wall, but the food and decor argued differently. I really enjoyed the sushi and the decor was not taken lightly. I experimented with several different rolls and can't say that any were not future options, it was just a nice little sushi place while travelling.

Excellent sushi, shame the restaurant lacks atmosphere. Great local restaurant with good prices. Really hope you can survive this desert!

  • Dave S.

If you want good sushi, do not go here. Service is horrible, the server has no sense of service. My 3 pieces of sushi took an hour after ordering it and it was warm from the rice. My first time, I waited for 3 hours to get all of my food. On top of the the food, they drench all the rolls in so much sauce, you can not even taste the fish. I had a spicy scallop hand roll last night and there was almost no scallops. I should have asked for a spicy rice hand roll. Also with the "happy hour" the server had to think about whether or not I could have it althought I ordered my food and beer an hour before the special was done

  • Chris B.

This place has the best prices in town. Not only good prices, but the sushi is good too. Basic, but fresh. Most basic rolls (eg. Albacore roll) are under $6! The other night, the GF and I ordered 2 apps, 3 rolls, chicken chow mein, and an Iced tea...Under $45! GREAT PRESENTATION! They also serve chinese food as well...this is good when I'm craving sushi, which is always, and the girlfriend wants chinese. Pretty impressed with the chinese food too. Gotta try the Jalapeno Deluxe...perfect appitizer. Another positive note, this is one of the only places that actually stays open after 9pm unlike most of the other places in La Quinta. Keep it up Sawa!

  • Ginette S.

I found this place only fair. We did not eat sushi and maybe that's why. I had the chicken teriyaki plate. The chicken looked unappetizing and tasted like it was purchased already cooked and they reheated it in the microwave. The teriyaki sauce was among the worst I've ever tasted. My husband ordered the tempura. It looked greasy and was sort of brown, usually caused by old oil. I don't see what the hubbub is about. We won't be going back.

  • Judy M.

Best sushi Ive had since moving to the desert, Ive tried a few other places like, Joes sushi, sams sushi and this one is still my fave. Its run by very few people so the wait time can be a little slow especially when they get busy but for me its worth it :) moonlight roll is a must!

  • Kathy H.

We were a little sketchy on going to a sushi bar in a strip mall but saw the good reviews on Yelp. I would give this restaurant 5 stars on the food alone, but the service wasn't great. Slow and sort of rude. But the sushi was top notch.

    (4)
  • Gabriela F.

First time going to this place. Ordered Mexican roll, dragon roll, crunchy roll, and caterpillar roll during Happy Hour. All were good. Service was good also.

    (4)
  • Leslie B.

Great sushi in small storefront, holds about 45 people. One server, and service is fast & good. Very fresh fish and descent serving sizes. HH beer and saki. Innovative sushi rolls. Love the salmon skin roll and my guy really likes the Philadelphia roll, among many others. Reasonably priced.

  • Brandon E.

So I must change my review from love to loved. They got rid of the dinner bento box which was basically the only reason I would come here. So I am sad to say... that our relationship has ended. The dinner bento was a deal breaker. Bring it back and I will start coming back. (i'll update my review as well)

All the reviewers need to get out more. This was below average at best. The only shining star was the baked mussels.

    (2)
  • Maynard C.

I loved the sushi here. We had the Crunchy Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Dragon Roll and Salmon Roll along with miso soup. All was excellent, service was fast and prices quite reasonable. Restaurant wasn't crowded and there was no wait. But the ambiance is lacking, which is why I docked them a star. For starters, there are two TVs, which I hate. It's a sushi restaurant folks, not a sports bar. But worse yet, there was also Eminem playing from somewhere toward the kitchen. Ugh. The combination of sounds really grated on my ears. I wish they would put on some Japanese music at a low volume and ditch the TVs. That would be a huge improvement. Despite the problems with the ambiance, we will definitely be back since the sushi was so good. Maybe take out next time. :)

  • Shaun S.

I tried this place because I had been to Sam's and was disappointed there. But I was disappointed by Sawa as well. I don't know how this place has such a high rating. The place was dead too. I am still in search of a good sushi bar in the desert.

  • Bill Z.

Lobster roll was absolutely fantastic. Yes it's in a strip mall but that does not detour the flavor. We were only ones there today (Sunday) and I love that!! Service was good. Food was excellent. Also had the yellowtail jalapeño roll and the unagi. Overall a very good experience. Why only 4 stars? Not sure. But I would return and recommend. 5 stars requires a knock your socks off meal or service. Although wearing sandals, socks still on.

  • Jackie L.

for strip mall sushi, this place is bomb.com . sashimi sampler was DELIGHTFUL and everthing else was fresh and fabulous. definitely above par and def will return.

Found this place while I was shopping at target. Boy was I glad I did. Best sushi in the desert. Fresh ingredients, cold beer and God prices.

  • Martin M.

The sushi here is amazing. They don't skimp on the fish here. It's very clean. And the fish is always fresh. My wife and I love coming here for date night. We love all the rolls also. The staff is very nice and curtious.

    (5)
  • Miles V.

Ok, the food is fantastic, absolutely some of the best sashimi and rolls we've ever eaten. But the decor/ ambience is very ordinary, too loud Japanese music, high ceilings and TVS. The waitress was about as disinterested as she could have been although the service was quick enough, but she spent more time looking at her phone than looking around to see what could be done. BUT , great food!

    (3)
  • Wyn B.

Very fresh sushi, came in for lunch! There was a lot of variety on the menu in regards to different types of rolls. They do have a lunch menu as well. We will come back to this sweet spot the next time we are in La Quinta!

  • Jenn D.

decided to try this place out, glad we did. our server was very nice and very attentive. decided to get the special, the miami vice roll, so glad i did. it was super spicy and super amazing. great flavors. also tried the dynamite appetizer, also very spicy and very good. great flavors. order the green iced tea for a cool treat. definitely will be going again soon. great prices too.

Best sushi ever and very nice people who work hard to make your order the best. Try the American dream roll :D

  • Marc P.

I need to start this review by saying that any of their negative reviews from others are probably from their competitors and I cannot speak on their non sushi items since I have not had any. Since this is primarily a sushi bar I wouldn't necessarily go there for other items. When you enter the dining area you are welcomed by Joyce and I like to sit at the bar where Timmy is one the BEST sushi chefs in the valley. I know this is a bold statement based on the number of sushi places in the valley let alone in their area of La Quinta. Every cut he has prepared for me has been nothing short of silky "melt-in-your-mouth" decadence. The atmosphere is very cozy since it is small and their selections are incredible. As a proud sushi-holic, you will not find a better place in the area for anyone to get their sushi fix. This is truly a sushi oasis in the desert!

  • Manny G.

This review is based solely on my very first visit to this restaurant, so I don't have much to say. The sushi was great, their pricing is fair & my family & I enjoyed ourselves. Now, their customer service needs some serious improvement. We were seated at 7:20PM & we got our food at about 8:10 (not even exaggerating) there was only one chef & one server. A little short handed, which is understandable. Nonetheless, I do plan on giving this sushi hub just one more shot.

  • Rebecca C.

I'm eating the salmon sashimi & a Manhattan roll both of which are fantastic. The quality of the fish is obvious! This place is a must try!! I'm impressed.

  • Layla M.

My husband and I went there to try something new for date night sushi... Since we've never been there before, I asked the waitress what her recommendations were... And we were recommended a couple of different rolls... One of them being the Manhattan roll... which was delicious!!! It was just the right amount of spicy and a lot of fish.... Albacore and salmon... I love salmon :-) It had a great sauce on it and thinly sliced green onions which were delish & the presentation was very nice... I was going to get the baby octopus salad... But the waitress recommended that I get the Tako (octopus) salad... Great choice! It was yummy! I'll get that again! My husband and I like to get unsweetened ice tea wherever we go... But many times at the various restaurants we frequent, ice tea isn't brewed freshly and it's painfully obvious to us when it isn't... We were so happy that this place didn't let us down...fresh ice tea...not to strong & not watered down...just right! Refreshing! The service was great! My husband drinks ice tea like a camel (lol) & the waitress made sure not to let his cup become a mirage in this part of the desert... Hahaha ;-) We will be visiting them again! We also liked not feeling rushed as they have later hours than most of La Quinta... Open till 10pm on Fri & Sat & the rest of the week Open till 9:30pm... I took a menu home & it looks like they're not open on Mondays...

Great place to get a quick bite to eat. The prices are great and the sushi seems to be fresh. The service isn't bad - just not warm/friendly and they're not rude. Water was refilled, plates were cleared. It's better than some of the other sushi restaurants around!

  • Jeff L.

Came here for lunch based on the 4-star yelp rating but would leave feeling deceived. This was one of the WORST Japanese meals I have ever had. It must say something when I walk into the place during the noon lunch hour and the place is completely empty. During my entire meal, there were only 2 other guest. The environment was DEAD. Ordered the lunch bento box with chicken terriyaki and salmon terriyaki. The bento box lacked any presentation as it was just the chicken, salmon, and rice served in the box. Absolutely no garnish, salad, greens or anything like that. The small portion of chicken was overcooked and extremely dry with the terriyaki sauce being overly salty. The salmon terriyaki was no better with it being overcooked as well. I also order a rainbow roll with the fish quality being mediocre and felt warm to the touch. Service was terrible. Had no sense of service and wasn't friendly or inviting at all. Also throughout my entire meal, I would hear the staff yelling at each other in the kitchen. BTW, this place is run by Chinese people as evidenced by the mandarin they were yelling in the kitchen. It is never a good sign when you can hear the kitchen staff yelling at each other. For all of those reviewers giving this place 5 stars seriously need to get out more. This place was a disaster.

  • Karina F.

We love this place. The rolls are great. Fresh. The hot entrees are yummy and the service is great. Even on a busy night if the server is by herself she still tries to provide you with a good experience. She's very friendly and the other great thing is that they are always willing to make you anything even when it's not on the menu!

  • Tom W.

Start with the jalapeño deluxe. Also called jalapeño poppers at some other places. Really big peppers, flavorful and a bit spicy!! The salmon sushi is a generous portion of salmon with a little rice, bit the other way around as in some places. Service could be a bit better and with a bit more personality. But otherwise attentive and friendly. I think I found my regular place in the desert

    (4)
  • Jeremy A.

Very small and cozy place in a strip mall that has about 7 tables. they were a bit understaffed when we were there due to a large party coming in ahead of us but the 1 girl working was doing the best she could. Really liked the spicy scallops and manhattan roll here and we will definitely be back since the food was good and the prices were reasonable. Happy hour is from 5-7 however the specials are only on alcohol and do not apply to the food.

  • Clare C.

One of my favorite sushi spots in the valley. The rolls are good and fresh and the entrees are delicious. Highly recommend the chicken Katsu, spicy tuna roll, and American Dream roll. The ginger dressing for the salads is to die for! Usually not very busy and always the same two people working there. Try this place!

    (5)
  • Scott M.

I couldn't agree more with Marc P. His review is spot on. I've been eating here now for about 8months and the service and quality of sushi has been top notch! Their prices are very reasonable compared to other sushi venues here in the desert. My only complaint is they are closed on Mondays. I was just there last night and now after writing this review I want to go back for more.

Found this place tucked away in a large shopping center. The idea of good sushi + the desert has always had me a little nervous, it's one of those combos that I'm not sure if it exists. Came in on a Sunday for a late lunch with my girls, we were the only ones there. They had a pretty decent sized sushi menu so I was hopeful. One of the girls ended up with a sushi bento box & I stuck to some specialty rolls. The sushi chef was subpar, like i said we were the only customers there and it took him forever to make 3 rolls and some sashimi, at least when we got them the presentation was nice and the sushi was clearly fresh. The rolls fell into the "good range". Good enough to go back and fill our desert sushi cravings but nothing special or worth going on and on about. I'd say give this place a try if your looking for some decent sushi but aren't on a tight schedule or budget.

  • Adrianne R.

Very nice sushi place. The Sawa roll is extremely good. Also had the Mexican roll which had a nice little kick to it. Service is fast and it's a nice little quiet hole in the wall. Will definitely be coming back here!

    (5)
  • Laura S.

Best sushi place hands down! American Dream roll is the best. My husbands and I favorite place. Everyone that says SAMs sushi is better is wrong, the service there was poor and the sushi even worse. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

    (5)
  • Anita C.

Definitely a hidden gem when it comes to price and quality. The service isn't really warm. They aren't rude by any means, but rather not real personable is all. It's also not fancy on the decor but it's good if you're in a rush or on the go. I go almost every Wednesday for lunch and their sushi has been consistent in freshness (minus the yellowtail). Salmon is always melt in your mouth good. The Rainforest Roll is super delicious.

I had the sashimi plate last time and the diamond sashimi salad this time. Yum. I wish this place had a location in The Bay Area. =d

Amazing quality of food; the fish is always fresh. The service is always spectacular because the staff is very attentive. It truly is a hidden gem!

  • Tamara H.

I use to go here for Sushi when I lived in La Quinta. This was my hidden gem. I still have not found a place that I like better. They use to have Chef Eric but he moved to the mid-west. He was Phenomenal! The food was still great after he moved but the chef made some absolute crazy rolls. Try this place it is a great value and delicious.

  • Suzy K.

Loved this small empty place! They really should have more business but there on a plaza in a location you can't see when you drive by. I found this place when I had a sushi craving on Sunday and everything was closed. All of the sushi rolls I've tried here are amazing and muscles are to die for. Awesome place. I love stopping by here.

  • Kanima K.

I've eaten here a few times and the food's pretty good, but very inconsistent. I always order the Sawa Roll (baked scallops on top) but raw, sashimi style, not baked. Last time I went they said they couldn't do it. I tried to explain, just make the roll, and simply don't put it in the oven, but for some reason, they were incapable this time of not sticking it in the toaster. We ordered the Shitake Hungry (mushrooms stuffed with spicy tuna and deep fried) and they were filled with sour cream instead, no tuna at all on the plate. Basically, order at your own risk, maybe you'll get someone possibly close to what you're aiming for. Menu variations are a but redundant and I prefer more variation of ingredients.

  • Tom E.

A "more than solid" sushi joint wayyyy out in the desert. Order number 4 the Jalapeño Deluxe. Incredibly unique item! You won't be disappointed.

  • Dev N.

Went here on our last day in Palm Desert as Okura was closed at lunchtime. Small place, lacks decor but then is less expensive and almost as good. Very less wait time for your food to arrive and really delicious. Highly recomend!

    (4)
  • Cynthia M.

Miami Vice roll dude!!! So good! Sushi is always great and delivered in a timely manner for only having one server. We've never had a bad experience here, definitely great if you want to have a quiet/mellow dinner.

    (5)
  • Love B.

They don't accept Amex? Their sushi was decent. Nothing to brag about.

    (3)
  • Lindsay P.

While vacationing in the desert I looked to Yelp for a sushi place that was open on Sundays and wasn't far from our hotel. I am very picky when it comes to sushi and this place really surprised me. Everything we ordered was very fresh and quite tasty. The people who worked there were very nice. One person in my party accidentally ordered something they didn't want and they actually took it back and sent out what she wanted instead. When we come back to this vacation spot in the fall,k we will visit again for sure! And good for kids too!

Went here twice in the last week due to the reviews and needing a sushi fix. The decor is pleasant and simple. There was one other couple. A small room with several booths, lots of tables and chairs, and a sushi chef in full view, and a waitress. Arrived at 2pm and ordered a Bento box and some sushi bales and rolls. The Bento Box includes salad and Miso soup and comes in two sizes, $9.99 or $12.50. We ordered the 12.50 one to split - with three items, mixed shrimp and vege tempura, a spicy tuna roll and a California outside avocado and crab roll, and it comes with a small serving of delicious rice. We ordered Salmon, Shrimp, Mackerel and Octopus sushi on the side. I had tea, and hubby had a coke. Everything was deleçtable. The salmon sushi Melts in your mouth. The tempura shrimp Melts in your mouth. Service was great. The salad dressing was awesomely refreshing on a hot day. Our drinks were refilled several times. The Bento Box is not available on the weekend. We left food buzzingly happy and didn't need much supper, Lolz. Thank u Sawa Sushi!

  • B C.

Got sushi Nigiri and seafood udon. Udon broth was watery and tasteless. The shrimp in the soup was overlooked an tough. The sushi was hit or miss. The salmon and yellowtail were great. Albacore was above average. Eel was mediocre. White tuna was not good and stringy. The ponzu sauce on the albacore and white tuna was bland and too sparse. Overall construction of the Nigiri was below average and tended to fall apart. Then, the family who we were sitting next had their order delivered. The grandmother thought the noodle dish she ordered would be like udon soup, but it was more of a dry soba noodle dish. She asked if she could switch it out and the server was nice enough to comply. When the server went into the back we heard loud screaming that may have been the cook yelling at the server. Not good.

  • Beau P.

First time there was excellent, next time I go if it is as good as the fir time ill give it 5 stars.

    (4)
  • Cea H.

Stopped here while on vacation because the reviews were good. The food was excellent. The service, not so much. We had a selection of nigiri: unagi great, but Saba not as fresh as it could be. Had some of the special rolls, one of which came with stuff we didn't want or ask for (hot sauce) and it hadn't been on the description so we sent it back. This annoyed the waitress. But our being there seemed to annoy her, as did the only other table occupied. It was all she could do to hide in the back and then shuffle to the tables when she had to bring out something. So tip, 10% only because the service wasn't that great but three stars because the food was excellent.

Decent sushi, decent price. Quiet environment---almost awkwardly quiet, except for the sound of Top 40 radio.

  • Bobby S.

The Sawa roll was great! The New Zealand muscles were runny and did not tasye fresh (one was too chewy and I spit it out). The taco salad was okay....one piece of octopus was not firm (too soft and chewy). The scallop roll tasted great! $90 fell out of my pocket in the restaraunt and the owner ran to my car outside and gave it to me!

  • Liz C.

This place is really good. We started with garlic warm edamame which should not be missed! We had 2 specially rolls. The best One was wrapped in rice paper and had mushrooms inside with 4 different types of fish. This rocked. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in laQuinta

  • Hanny M.

The food here is really good, today was our second visit for dinner at this place. The restaurant is quite and small but cozy. The server is always very nice to us and she actually remember us from our first time visit to this restaurant. They have a lot of selections in terms of both Japanese and Chinese menu. Try their specialty roll, we ordered the pink lady and angry salmon both were delicious. Presentation of the food were great too. I think this is going to be our new sushi spot. Oh and I forgot to mention how cheap their prices are. For regular simple rolls, it ranges from $3- $7. I also liked how they use smoked salmon in their philly roll. It is more tasty than just regular salmon. I would recommend this place to anyone.

  • Denise E.

This sushi place has very fresh fish and the prices are completely reasonable, actually the most affordable in the valley. The restaurant is small, they might get backed up but if you've ever been to a restaurant before, you know there is no reason to get belligerent like we experienced from a close-by table: lady, if you want fast food, go to McDonalds and if there are people that ordered before you and there is a to-go order being picked up, you can imagine your food will not be out first. The wait person was completely nice to that customer and the free ice cream seemed to have calmed her down lol. If that was me,I would've refused service after the F word..it shows that they are honest people that care about their customer service! Try it out, you won't be disappointed

    (5)
  • Don S.

Let me begin by pointing out that this is a sushi restaurant and not Chinese as listed ... and it went downhill from there. The fish was mediocre at best and the service was cheerless ... as if we were in the way instead of being their reason to exist. I am and was baffled by this ... the level of poor service and the low quality of the food. Why on earth would they bother to open the doors if they weren't planning on providing great ... at the very least.

    (2)
  • Sue Ann M.

Outstanding sushi! Don't let the simplicity of the decor fool you. The chef takes pride in the presentation of the rolls and the portions are large when ordering sashimi. Rainforest special roll melts in your mouth. We take all of our friends and family here. If they are busy there is a wait time...it is small and they only had one server for dinner rush. Definitely worth the wait.

SOoooooooo... I never go to Sawa-Sushi, but I do order it through LABite.com and have it delivered whenever the mrs. or I are jonesin' for Sushi and don't want to leave the house. As a "delivered" sushi joint I've been happy enough and seem to continue to order, so I guess I would recommend Sawa on that level. Aside from that, I ain't got much more to tell ya! I'm sure I'll stroll in there one day and update it!

  • Keith M.

This place was a really nice surprise. We ordered sushi for take out because the restaurant didn't really look appealing. Ordered special rolls and could not have been happier. The fish was fresh and the presentation was great. This is a really good sushi. Prices are reasonable for the quality. You should give this place a try.

This is my favorite sushi spot in the desert. The service is great, it's never too crowded and the rolls are delicious. The prices are completely reasonable, too, unlike other local sushi joints. I haven't tried their Chinese food menu, so can't speak for that, but their salmon sashimi and Philly rolls are amazing! The lunch/dinner boxes are a great value, too. Love Sawa!

This place changed owners beginning withe new year. I can't say it was for the better either. There's no more panko in the spicy tuna. The speed of service is terrible. The new sushi chef has no idea what goes in what, and seems he can't read because they waitress was having to read everything that should go in every roll he made. Witch obviously made ordering, getting refills, etc, take FOREVER. It litterally took over 30 minutes to make 3 rolls for me, and 2 rolls for the table in front of us. Sad to say but the new owners really killed this place, and I won't be returning. This really USED TO BE a great place. Now it's mediocre =(

This place did change owners and had a rocky start getting back on their feet, but their food and hospitality are back on par. Their food is super tasty, the owners are so friendly, and they have a ton of choices especially for vegetarians. If you are looking for a really yummy and inexpensive place for lunch, dinner or take-out you should check this place out!

Came here around the holidays, it wasn't easy to find, but we were hungry and persistent. The menu is a little limited, WYSIWYG - what you see is what you get - no daily specials of offering. But the basics are good quality - tried the hamachi sashimi and it was tasty, had a couple of other rolls - I should write these things down, but I remembered by daughter having the rainbow roll and enjoying it. Overall, I was just happy it was decent, thank you Yelp!

A little gem in the desert. Brought our friends from Orange County and had a great dinner. Too bad they charge 4$ per glass of your own wine.
